BALWYN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
BALWYN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
The NAB AFL Auskick program makes learning to play AFL fun, safe and easy for boys and girls. Through weekly coaching sessions they will learn the skills of the game in an exciting, social and safe environment. The Balwyn Tigers Auskick program runs from April to July.
With dedicated coaches and community support, children will learn the fundamental motor skills vital for future physical activity and sport participation, as well as learning how to interact with other children as part of a team in small group activities.
The program also provides a great opportunity for parents to interact with their kids through the activities, have the opportunity to make new friends, learn about the game and spend quality time with their children.

The NAB AFL Auskick program is for primary school aged children 5 to 12. (Children must turn 5 in the calendar year to participate – age is calculated as at 31/12/2024)

How can I be involved?
Our coaches require assistance every week to ensure the smooth running of the clinic. We encourage parent involvement during the clinics and it’s also a great time to have some fun with your child. Speak to your coach for further information.
What does my child need to bring?
-
There is no set uniform for Auskick sessions, just general sports clothing will be fine. Many kids also like to wear their favourite team’s colours and jumpers.
-
Drink bottle
-
Appropriate foot wear. Whilst it is not absolutely necessary to have football boots it will be easier for running when the ground is wet.
What if the weather is bad?
With football being a winter sport, there may be rare occasions when heavy rain will force the cancellation of a clinic. If a clinic needs to be cancelled due to extreme weather, a notice of cancellation will be sent to participants.
